How this site works
Editorial Policy
What gets published, how it is checked, and what happens when we get something wrong.
How we source
Facts about the exam come from HSPA, read on the page that publishes them. Every figure is stored with the exact sentence that declares it and the date it was read, and that date is shown next to the number rather than at the bottom of the page. We do not paraphrase other prep sites, and we do not repeat a figure we have not opened ourselves.
Where we have not verified something, we say so instead of estimating it. The published passing score is the clearest example: HSPA does not release one, so our score report does not draw a passing line. The full list of what we know and what we do not is on the methodology page.
Corrections
If something here is wrong, we fix it and re-date it. A correction that changes the meaning of a page is noted on that page rather than quietly swapped, because a site whose whole argument is that its numbers are traceable cannot edit them invisibly.
A contact address for corrections is being set up and will be published here before anything is sold on this site.
Independence
There is no commercial relationship with anyone: no affiliate programs, no sponsors, no advertisers, and no referral fees from schools. The plan is to make money by selling our own study product, which is written out in full on how we make money.
We are not affiliated with HSPA, and nothing we publish is reviewed or approved by them. Writing accurately about their exam is the entire job, and being independent of them is what makes the honest comparisons on this site possible.
Reader data
We do not ask readers for anything, so there is no reader data to influence what gets published.
